Mind Matters is an award-winning program designed specifically for people living with early-stage cognitive changes. This program is all about connection, belonging, and enhancing your everyday life.

Mind Matters serves as a vibrant, close-knit community where participants can build meaningful relationships. Our engaging activities and welcoming environment make every session fulfilling with a wide array of activities that energize the mind and body:
- Dementia Education & Cognitive Exercises: Learn about steps you can take to enhance your wellbeing and build upon your strengths with exercises that maximize your brain health.
- Discussion and Support Group: Socialize with peers and share experiences to learn new strategies on navigating memory loss.
- Movement & Wellness: Enjoy gentle physical exercises and mindfulness practices to help reinforce the mind-body connection.
- Creative Arts: Dive into art, music, dance, and other forms of creativity where you can express yourself freely

Mind Matters supports you and your family in the present and helps you look ahead. Whether you’re learning how to adapt daily routines or planning for what’s next, Mind Matters equips you with the knowledge and confidence to manage your path forward.
Program Details
- Fee: $75 per session
- Day & Time: Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Location: North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield Rd., Northfield, IL
- Enrollment: Each participant is assessed to ensure Mind Matters is a good fit
