Mim's Shop at the Center
- A place where your baubles and bangles can be donated to benefit others.
- A place where the inventory constantly changes, but bargains are a constant theme.
- A place where you can find vintage, classic or contemporary treasures.
Mim’s offers jewelry, glassware, crystal, china, pottery, figurines, linens, books and collectibles. All items are donated by North Shore Senior Center members, staff and friends. If you have any much-loved but seldom-used items that you would like to donate to Mim’s, please contact Rose Carroll at 847.784.6035. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Hours: Monday - Friday
9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All sale proceeds from Mim’s Gift Shop go directly to the North Shore Senior Center, a 501(c)(3) organization.
At Mim’s, you will find hand-crafted items (booties, blankets, sweaters, etc.) made by North Shore Senior Center’s talented Sewing Bees. We also sell note cards and artwork created by participants in our House of Welcome Adult Day Services for people with memory loss.
Mim’s is staffed by volunteers, and we can always use extra help. We need friendly, outgoing people to interact with customers and sell merchandise or help us price our donated items. Flexible three-hour shifts are available. Please call 847.784.6052 to learn about our volunteer opportunities.
The artisan and craft shop located in the North Shore Senior Center (Mims: The Shop at the Center) has been made possible through a generous donation made by Jack. C. Jadel in loving memory of his wife, Mim.
