"A Different Perspective on Aging: Lessons I've Learned from The Passions Project"

Heidi Wagner uses her camera to look closely at extraordinary people of all ages. In 2013 she founded The Passions Project, a portrait series that captures the essence of older adults doing what they love to do—from painting and theatre to community service and sports. Through her lens, Heidi makes visible what often is unseen: a new view of aging that includes vitality, independence and meaning. Heidi’s work aims to reframe the negative stereotypes associated with older adults and portray a new perspective on aging.

“When you see someone doing what they love to do, you no longer see their age. You see their passion.” ~ Heidi Wagner
